Patrick Schnieder, Member of the Bundestag, visits Euro-BBW

At the beginning of the new year, Mr. Patrick Schnieder, who was elected Member of the German Bundestag for the electoral district Bitburg/Südeifel in October 2009, visited the European Vocational Training Bitburg for the first time in this political function in order to gather information about the scope of work of this special training centre in Greater Trier and one of the big enterprises in the city of Bitburg and in the Eifelkreis. Günther Weydt, director of the Euro-BBW, and Prof. Dr. Berthold Hornetz, director of the vocational training school, informed Mr. Schnieder about the current offer of different trainings, practice-oriented training in collaboration with numerous regional enterprises and presented the successful projects within the framework of "Verzahnte Ausbildung (VAmB)" and "TrialNet" (modular training processes).

Within the framework of a small tour through the different training offices and workshops, Mr. Schnieder could get a pesonal picture of the scope of training courses and the high standard of training by direct talks with the trainers and the trainees. Finally, Mr. Schnieder was very interested in a continuation of the exchange of information about future developments in the Euro-BBW and remarked, when leaving, to gladly visit the European Vocational Training Centre again as soon as an opportunity arises.
