A foot in the door to employment ...
The Euro-BBW is part of the project network TrialNet since Winter 2009. The educational curriculum is split into modular building blocks to allow a clearly defined range of content to be taught through work in external businesses. This gives businesses, too small to cover all the necessary training blocks, the opportunity to play a role in qualifying young people with special needs - at the same time giving trainees many chances to gain an increasingly broader work experience.

Instructors rethink....
An important qualification target at the Euro-BBW is the preparation for lifelong learning. Even after completing training the labour market demands that employees constantly adapt to changing conditions in their vocation. To that effect the ability to learn independently is required. To meet those demands we are currently going through a paradigm and roll change. The assignments and projects follow a rigid structure at the beginning of a course; as the course progresses the participants are systematically encouraged to gradually take control and responsibility for their education. The instructor changes from a trainer to a coach/ mentor.

European Mentors
This project is all about building a European network of experts who accompany trainees on a voluntary basis along their way into employment. Affiliate organisations from Sweden, Poland and Rumania work alongside the Euro-BBW on the mentoring project.

Additional qualifications independant of time and place.
In co-operation with affiliate organisations in France and Belgium the Euro-BBW offers accessible online qualification upgrade schemes which are especially beneficial for the job market in the border region. More information on this at  www.atsetera.org.
